I know this post is going to bring out a lot of criticism from all walks of life, but I would ask that those who argue Adam Gadahn and Ahmed Farouq deserved to die I ask you to ask yourself this: Would you be okay with the President of the United States authorizing your execution by drone and without you ever being charged with or convicted of any crime, but rather because others did not agree with your speech?

With nothing about these strikes and deaths reported for months why sudden acknowledgment and announcement? Obama says the hostages families will be financially compensated but not how much that compensation would be. So are we to believe Obama administration decided to do the right thing out of the goodness of their heart and admit these strikes took place and took lives they didn't even know where there? When were the Lo Porto and Weinstein families actually notified of their loved ones death?

How do you feel about a President who claims this is the first time American hostages have ever been accidentally killed by drone? How many American hostages or Americans have been purposely killed by Drone?

Yes, three more American Citizens taken out by the Obama Administrations Drone program and authorized by Barack Obama.White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Obama did not specifically approve the strikes but I am not buying it. If Obama did not approve the specific strikes then we have to ask why a Nation of Laws ignores those laws and murders people in sovereign nations?

Earnest said at a press briefing Thursday that Obama did not specifically approve the operations that killed the Americans, but that the strikes were within the bounds of policy guidance.

CIA actions must be and are conducted with the direct authorization of the President. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) by its very name suggests that they have some intelligence to suggests or justify their actions.

When the CIA ordered the strikes on compounds near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Jan. 14 and Jan. 19, they were aiming to take out senior al Qaeda leaders, a U.S. official told NBC News. The agency was unaware that Weinstein, Italian hostage Giovanni Lo Porto, Gadahn or Farouq were present, officials said.

According to news reports yesterday the CIA Drone Strikes took place in January of this year (take note of the time between the strikes and the administrations acknowledging that the strikes taken in a sovereign nation that we are not in a declared war with) and resulted in the death of American hostage Warren Weinstein; American citizen and suspected traitor Adam Gadahn; Italian hostage Giovanni Lo Porto.

What bothers me in so many ways with this news is:

  1. The amount of time that has passed from when the drone strike took place and the American people were told of the deaths of two hostages that many continued to fight for their release all the while the Obama administration knowing they had been killed months earlier.
  2. In the past five years seven (7) American Citizens have been killed by Drone authorized by Barack Obama yet only one of those American deaths was the actual intended target.
  3. No matter what you, I or anyone else may think of the words of Adam Gadahn or a Malcolm X or anyone else, the United States Constitution protects every single citizen and his/her right to speech.

For those who would argue that we are at war I remind you that per our Constitution we have not entered into or declared war with Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya or any other country that I am aware. So anyone who would argue these deaths are casualties of war simply would not hold water.

You can argue oh, this is not the norm but I would argue if you step back and review our actions over the past 8 years you would find this trend of death by drone is indeed becoming the norm. Under Obama we have turned to targeting and killing by drone those we say are at war with us, but whom we have yet to declare we are at war with.

We riot in the streets, we burn property and destroy property and pull people out of cars and start beating them when we believe a cop or citizen murders a citizen in cold blood but we sit back and ignore people who have no face but sit inside the walls of the Pentagon and who take to a remote controlled drone and kill people who regardless of what they have said have never been charged with or convicted of any crime. And we wonder why the world looks upon us as arrogant and hypocrites?

For those who would say this is okay, remember be careful what you say or you too could be on the receiving end of a Drone and it be justified by claiming you are at war with your government.

If Soetoro was a citizen of the USA maybe he'd have more empathy for US citizens.
